Homemade Rock Candy ingredients:

  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup of water
  • Food coloring in the desired color
  • Jar
  • 3 long wooden sticks
  • 3 pcs latch

How to make Rock Candy:

Step 1:

  • Add the water to the saucepan and bring to a boil.
  • Start pouring the sugar, little by little. All sugars need to be dissolved thoroughly. The more sugar you add, the longer it will take to dissolve. Be patient and try to make it as unresolved as possible.
  • You can also add aroma if you wish.
  • Remove the mixture from heat and let cool for about 15 minutes. Add the food coloring at this time.
  • After adding a few drops of food coloring, stir until a smooth color.
  • Pour the warm mixture into the jars you have prepared.

Step 2:

  • Smear your sticks in normal water followed by granulated sugar. Make sure the sugars stick to the bars and let them dry a little.
  • Then dip your sugar bars into the sorbet you poured into the jar.
  • Do not touch the bottom of the jar with the sticks. Try to fix it a little above. You can fix it in the mouth of the jar by attaching a latch to the tip.
  • That’s it.

Note: It may take 3-4 days for rock sugar to form.
