Okra with olive oil

  • 1/2 kg okra
  • 1 medium onion peeled
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1 small teacup grape vinegar
  • 3 medium tomatoes, peeled and chopped for cooking
  • 1 small teacup of water
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil

  • Soak okra in water with vinegar for 5 minutes, wash it, then let it dry to extract.
  • After extracting the okra by cutting the tops in a cone shape, you can add the olive oil by placing the okra in the pot. (NOTE: If you are not bothered by the flavor of dried onions at dinner, you can chop the onion, cook it with some oil, and then add the okra.)
  • Then the tomatoes are added and mixed. In the center of the pot are placed dried onions whole.
  • Add the lemon juice and water and close the lid of the pot. It is adequately cooked over medium heat until it boils, then over low heat. It is taken to the serving plate and serviced after cooling.

Bon appetit.

Note: For those who do not like dried onions and are uncomfortable, onions are used whole in the okra recipe with olive oil. You can also use this method on other vegetables, such as green beans. You can also separate a piece of the olive oil okra dish that you can eat as a family to your baby, mashed potatoes or yogurt and then try to feed it. That way, you don’t have to cook for everyone at home separately. When giving okra to babies with olive oil, remember that you need to cut off the head parts of okra that may be hard.

If you want to make okra with olive oil and make it in a different flavor and a more nutritious jersey, you can make our okra recipe with musket meatballs and chickpeas for your baby close to 1 year old. You can also eat this recipe with your baby or children as a family. When feeding babies, you will need to crush it to bring it to the consistency of mash.
